One Direction have been rather popular recently and not just with Directioners.

What with a tour, a stadium tour announced for next year, perfume, books, stores, movie and numerous other things.

And now our boys have been named the world?s most influential youngsters!

Well they are the first british band to have their first two albums debut at number 1 in the US billboard 200 chart.

Plus the ?This Is Us? movie has already made a whopping $62 million worldwide making it one of the most successful concert movies of all time.

One Direction topped a list that Billboard put together of the most powerful stars in the industry under the age of 21, also known imaginatively as ?21 under 21?.

We know that Louis is nearly 22, but the average age of the band is under 21 so they still count.

What is even better is that the boys beat off competition from the likes of Bieber (who was top last year), Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande and Austin Mahone to take the coveted top spot.

The rankings are made based upon a few factors including music sales, concert tours and social media influence.
